We went to the orphanage on the 29th of February 2008. This visit was to show these orphans the numerous numbers of items we can reuse in our daily life. We made art out of the used items in our daily lives like newspaper, cardboards and magazines. These orphans were very dedicated in doing these arts. They came out with their own ideas without being taught. Furthermore, they made house decorations using glass bottles and planted some plants with used plastic bottles and cottons. The hard work of these children has paid of to the success of this trip. They let us feel the joy and happiness that hasn’t been felt since childhood. They even showed us lots of love which we cannot get a hold on these days. Instead of us teaching them to recycle and reuse, we felt the children of the orphanage has taught us a great lesson which is to be caring and loving to whomever you meet, young or old, boy or girl, handicap or able body. All of these do not matter in the eyes of these children; they were able to show us love that they had not felt in family members. Yet, we who have family members could not show them often. We did not regret one little bit for visiting the orphanage. After leaving the orphanage, we felt as if our lives were “recycled” to pass the love that the orphans showed us to other people we love in our lives.
Yes, that was written in my Chemistry report. Every feelings from the reports are true and not made up. How i wish that i could visit the orphanage every week to cheer these childs up. Before i went to the orphanage, what was running in my mind was "OMG, its gonna be horrible there, its gonna be Chaos !". When i actually step into the orphanage for the first time in my life, the kids were damn cute and loving. I love them so much. They even wrote a mini essay for us and Lots of thank you notes and drawings. It was so cute and pretty. It was so touching that i wanted to cry. It was a very Fun day and i wish i could see those children again. How i love them so much.
